Emergency Dismissals and Closings:
Dismissals and closings due to weather are announced on WBAL(1090
am) radio and the local TV stations Channels 11 and 13 ). St. Jane Frances School
follows weather decisions as announced for Anne Arundel County Schools. For example, if A.
A. Co. is two hours late, then SJF would be two hours late and the first bell for homeroom
would be 9:50 a.m.
When there is a delayed late opening,
students need to bring their lunch to school. No hot lunch
will be sold. However, students who forget to pack a lunch can buy cold sandwiches
(cheese sandwich or jelly sandwich ) and snacks/drinks during lunch.
We will try to have the Hall open at 8:45 a.m. on delayed openings.
Of course, this is dependent on weather conditions, but every effort will be made
to have it open by 8:45 a.m. Day Care would also try to open at 7:30am.
If there is a delayed opening, there are still Kindergarten classes.
If there is a delayed opening, there are not
any AM Pre-Kindergarten classes.
On an unscheduled early dismissal -- clubs after school would be
cancelled.
Announcements are also posted on the school website: www.stjaneschool.org.
