GENERAL INFORMATION

Extended Day Care is open year round to serve St. Jane Frances students. There is limited space available and students with the most need are considered first. The center is located in the building off the school parking lot and is open from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. Please call or e-mail if you need day care service.

Philosophy

THE STAFF AND TEACHERS OF EDC ENCOURAGE CHRISTIAN VALUES SUCH AS KINDNESS, SHARING, HONESTY AND RESPONSIBILITY. AS A LICENCED CATHOLIC DAY CARE CENTER THESE VALUES ARE ENCOURAGED AND EXPECTED IN ALL OF OUR CHILDREN. EDC STAFF WILL PROVIDE VARIOUS SPIRITUAL, PHYSICAL, CREATIVE AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES TO FOSTER A WELL- BALANCED CHILD. THE MOST IMPORTANT DUTY OF THE STAFF IS TO ENRICH EACH CHILD’S SELF ESTEEM.

History

The extended care program began in September of 1988. One classroom was designated for the after school program. In 1990, the EDC program opened on professional days to accommodate working parents. In June of 1991 a summer program was opened with a camp theme. In 1992, the program expanded to offer a kindergarten program and soon there after to Pre-Kindergarten. In 1999, the EDC moved to its own building that had been St Jane Frances’ Convent.

Schedule of Fees

3 year and 4 year Pre-K

There is a $25.00 registration fee for all new students

Before and After School Care or Full Day Care

· 5 or 4 days $120.00/wk

· 3 days $105.00/wk

· 2days $70.00/wk

After school care or before school care

7:00 until 11:45 or

10:45 until 2:45 for before/after

· 5 or 4 days $ 75.00

· 3 days $ 70.00

· 2 days $ 65.00

Kindergarten to 8^th grade

2:45 until 5:30

· 5 or 4 days $70.00/wk

· 3 days $65.00/wk

· 2 days $ 55.00/wk

When school dismisses at noon there will be a $10.00 fee added to Kinder -8^th grade weekly fee. Any full days of care during a school week there will be $20.00 added to the weekly fee.

After School Care

Extended Care is provided

after the school day and all day when school is closed.

Children are offered a variety

of activities that promote physical well being, educational opportunities and creative outlets.

Pre- Kindergarten Program

This program can be a full day care or part time program. The needs and development of your child are our first consideration. We provide an abundance of activities for your child to enjoy. They will experience activities which enable your child to learn to share, respect others needs, practice the art of listening and to be able to follow directions.
