Race for Education-Opening Ceremonies and PreK-K

On May 19, 2006, the entire student body ran the inaugural RACE FOR EDUCATION.  The children contacted family and friends to sponsor them in an hour-length run or walk around the field.  The monies raised will defray the cost of new windows for the school building.  The Sign Language Club signed the National Anthem, which was led by Gina Wetzel and Kaitlyn Furey.   Our Guest of Honor for the RACE was former Governor, Baltimore Mayor, and current State Comptroller William Donald Schaeffer.  MCing the event was Mr. Rob Kelly, and the RACE Chairperson was Mrs. Susan Chiasson-Bardman.  To date, the RACE has raised more than $54, 000!!!
