1st Grade
We will be finishing the end of book
test .
Read a book with your child and then
ask questions about what they have read. Use the Test Skills section to help you
with some questions.
Test Skills
compare/contrast -
Take two things and tell how they are the same and different.
main idea/details -
What is the story about? - What explains the main idea?
story sequence -
Tell the events of the story from first to last.
Predict
outcomes - What do you think will happen next?
Try to read every
night from something else other than the reader.

Enjoy your weekend!
Reading - We have finished the testing.
During the
week, we will do some review work with comprehension and
language arts' skills.
Try to do a
little bit of reading outside of the reader each night
