We love First Grade!
This is it!
Wow! I can't believe we are at
the end of our journey through First Grade. Mrs. Carr and I began this year as
"newbies" just like your children, who were new to First Grade. As we progressed
through the year, the first graders learned a lot (we hope), but they also taught us a
great deal.
Matt Anderson taught us that there
are angels on Earth.
Ryan showed us that you don't have
to be a certain age to love a good book.
Maddie revealed the power of a
positive attitude (and a great hug)!
Megan C. showed us how wonderful it
feels when you open your heart to the world.
Michael let us know that personal
opinions are important - but he did it with love and enthusiasm for our class.
Tyler shared his incredible reading
talents with us!
Susan taught us that every day is a
chance to master another skill.
Alessandra sparked our hope for the
future. (She might be the first female president - the whole "speak softly and carry
a big stick!" idea.)
Hannah showed us what can happen
when you believe in yourself!
Josh proved that encouragement
breeds success!
Nick let us know when first grade
wasn't perfect. But, he also told us when we were the best!
Meagan M. showed us the emotional
impact of a daily hug.
Andrew proved that determination
can get you far.
Karoline taught us that strength
can come in small, quiet packages.
Adam let us see that
"quiet" doesn't always mean "shy"; we loved his daily stories!
Lindsey P. modeled what a First
Grader really can do; her skills inspired me to be a better First Grade teacher.
Joanna gave us a true definition of
success!
Chip showed us how to motivate ALL
of the students!
Gabby helped us understand
patience, and the healing power of a warm embrace.
Yuan taught us how to channel pure
energy!
Lindsey T. modeled kindness every
single day - and proved that true friendship exists at all ages.
Thanks for an incredible
year!
