Maestra Librarian/ Bibliotecaria Sanitation Worker/

couple of weeks to finish. In Language Arts we will begin working on the letter Uu and its
sounds. We will learn the letter Uu in sign language. We will continue working on
rhyming words, sequencing and patterns and same and different.. We will continue working on
printing our names.and on feelings. We will be counting money, just pennies at this time.
We will begin
Peter and the Wolf in our Happily Ever After Reading Series
We will be
working on printing our names correctly. Please practice at home also. Remember we do not
print our names all in upper case letters and the children Do Not have to print on lines
at this age..
We are bleaching and using
lysol on all our tables and toys each day. We are making the children clean their hands
repeatedly with baby wipes. We have gone over all the rules for coughing in our arms
instead of our hands to make sure that no germs are being spread in our classroom.
Hopefully we will avoid any sickness in our school and classroom.
HELPFUL HINT: PLEASE
REVIEW UPPER AND LOWER CASE LETTERS A THRU T WITH YOUR CHILD. MAKE FLASH CARDS OUT OF
INDEX CARDS OR SLIPS OF PAPER. THIS WILL HELP GREATLY IN OUR READING SERIES. THE
CHILDREN SHOULD KNOW THESE LETTERS AT THIS TIME. WE HAVE BEEN REVIEWING IN CLASS. SOME OF
THEM ARE HAVING A HARD TIME SO I WOULD APPRECIATE THE EXTRA ATTENTION TO THIS AT HOME.

We will be collecting
change in our classroom jar to be donated to poor children or any special causes. We are
asking that each child earn 25 cents doing some chore and bring it in to class to put in
the jar. I will give them an extra ticket for the prize box.. We gave $34.00 to
Mary's Center for the babies.

Please bring in a
canned goods for the poor on Tuesdays.

STAR
STUDENTS
Julia Willimann

Posters
are due on Mondays and favorite book on Fridays

I found a great website for creating your own
printing trace patterns. Go to www.My-Moondrops.com Just remember they do not have to print their names
correctly on lines. The tracing page will help them in forming the letters in the correct
order, but don't worry if they don't stay on the lines. It also helps if you have them say
the letters as they print them. This repetition helps them to remember what letter comes
next.
If you would like to
practice writing names at home, here is a web site that allows you to make your own
handwriting worksheet Handwriting Practice -
Grade 1 - Kindergarten
Here is another good
website for handwriting worksheets. They come out nice and big 13/16 which makes it easier
for the children to trace. www.handwritingworksheets.com
