REMINDERS

Oct. 6 & 7-No school due to teacher’s convention in Baltimore

Oct. 20- Winter uniform begins (no shorts permitted)

Oct. 31-Hallowen Party and 12:15 dismissal

BOOK-IT

Pizza Hut’s Book-It Program begins on Oct. 1^st.   The Kindergarten goal is to have 15 books read to each child every month.  The October book titles are due on Nov. 1st to receive the free Pizza Hut pizza certificate.  There is a limit of one certificate per month.

HALLOWEEN PARTY

Our Halloween Party will be on Oct. 31^st at 11:00.   Our class parent will be contacting some parents for party goods. 

Children may wear costumes to school on that day.  No make-up or weapons, please.  

Make sure the costume doesn’t interfere with your child’s ability to use the bathroom. 

WHAT’S HAPPENING IN OCTOBER?

We will be working on the following concepts this month:

Religion- God made me special; we have feelings

Reading- Letter & sound identification and formation of Gg, Aa,Dd.

Math- Patterns; more, less & equal, counting & ordinal numbers 1-5.

Social Studies/ Science- Fire Prevention, Insects, Simple Machines
