Full day Kindergarten session: 8:10 am - 2:30 pm
School starts with a split session on Sept. 5th. Please consult your August mailing for your child's time. Full days begin on Sept. 8, 2008.
Please send in a drink and a snack for your child on all early dismissal days. We will not have lunch.
Reminders:
Children may come directly to their kindergarten room if they are 5-10 minutes early for school. Do not bring your child to the classroom before 7:55. Students are not permitted to be in the classroom alone. Please do not leave your child in the classroom if there is no teacher or assistant present.
At dismissal, your child will be walked out the hall door across from the chapel. You may come and pick up your child at this time. If you are picking up children in Grades 1-8 also, please come to the front of the school building for pick up. If anyone other than the regular person is picking up your child, please contact the office or the teacher prior to dismissal.
If your child needs to leave before the normal dismissal time, kindly notify the office or teacher with a written note.
Reminder: Early dismissals and tardiness are recorded on your child’s progress report.
Mailbox
Folders
·
On the first
day of school, your child received a “mail folder.” He/she MUST bring it back
and forth to school EVERY DAY. If you have any notes, papers, money (in
envelope), etc., put them in the folder. Folders are checked everyday in
school. Please check your child’s folder everyday for notes, homework, etc.
Remove any work papers that are to be kept at home.
· The GOOD WORKER CALENDAR is to remain in the folder until the end of the month.
September Concepts
We will be working on the following skills this month:

Reading-
Identifying parts of a book, rhyming, letter
and sound recognition, formation of the

Beginning with the first day of school, we will be writing first names on lined paper. (The first letter is capital and the remainder of the letters is lower case.) Please practice with your child if he/she does not know how to spell his/her first name from memory. Thank you.
