Mrs. Karen Prindeze, Teacher Assistant

Hello, I am Mary Carmel Buckey (Carmie). I have been a member of St. Jane Frances Parish all of my life. In fact, I went to St Jane Frances School. I attended Keough High School and went on to graduate from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland. I received my degree in Speech Pathology & Audiology with a minor in Child Psychology. I am currently attending Notre Dame Institute for my masters in early childhood education.

I have been married for 31 years and have four children, 2 girls and 2 boys. Three of my children have already graduated from college and fourth is going off to his third year of college. I have been the director of the St. Jane Extended Care Program for the last 21 years. For the last five years I have been teaching the three year old program, which I love. I also love to cook, read and go outside in the fresh air. I love to watch my youngest son, Nathan, play rugby for Mt. St. Mary's University.

My name is Karen Prindeze. I have been happily married for over 20 years. I have three wonderful children. All attended St. Jane Frances.  Nick is 20 and in the third year of college. Laura is 18 and in first year of college. Jacob is 14 and is starting his first year at Mt. St. Joseph High School.

I love riding roller coasters, reading, gardening, crafts, walking, home improvements and decorating, and playing with children.

Dress Code

Three Year Old Pre- K students are asked to wear a green logo shirt and navy blue pants or shorts and athletic shoes.  Please make sure pants fasteners are easy for little fingers to work.

Any clothing articles that children will be taking on and off (i.e. coats, gloves, hats) have the potential to be left behind at the end of the day.  Teachers will assist as much as possible in helping the children keep track of their belongings.  In the event of a misplacement, please make sure your child's name or initials are somewhere on the label.  This will assist in returning the clothing to the children.

At the end of each month, the children will have a color day.  This is the day when your child may wear the color of the month to school instead of the uniform.   You will receive notice on the color of the month before time.
