Welcome to my website!

Life sure has changed for me.  When I was your age we did not have computers, CD's, DVD's, or iPods.  Can you imagine how I ever survived?   Most of my school career was done with paper, pencil and a typewriter.  No, I am not old enough to have used an 8 track player.

Between your ideas and my ideas I am hopeful that we will be able to incorporate different aspects of technology into our classroom.

Now a personal note....

    Let me start by saying that I am looking forward to starting my 16th year of teaching.  You will be my second Fifth grade class. 

    Fresh out of college and a degree in Early Childhood Education, I first started teaching 1st grade in 1991 with Anne Arundel County Public Schools.  From there I moved to teaching Kindergarten in the same school.  After receiving my Masters in Reading, I moved to St. Jane Frances to become the Reading Specialist.  Now after six years, I am teaching Fifth grade with Mrs. Quinn.

    As many of you know I have three children at St. Jane Frances.  Ben will be in the 8th grade, Nick will be in the 6th grade, and Emily will start the Kindergarden.   I have been married to Mr. Armero for 15 years.  We have three pets.  Lewis and Louie are our tabby cats who look exactly alike and Buddy is our English Black Lab.  He is still a little wild and crazy.  You will hear a great deal about the antics of my family.
